A display manufacturer reads about innovations at a federally-funded laboratory that could replace an expensive element in their flat panel display. The research is in its early stages, but holds promise. The manufacturer cannot divert resources from ongoing operations, but may miss a key technological innovation if they don't investigate. Our transition team investigates the technology, evaluates potential cost and manufacturability issues, and helps the manufacturer acquire and implement the technology.
